Present Position

Vice President/Shareholder/Director – Duree Barton Professional Corporation, Certified Public Accountants.  Responsibilities include administration and client service with an emphasis on forensic accounting, business valuation, due diligence and compliance with accounting and auditing professional standards.

Professional Experience

Forensic Accounting – Dispute Resolution Analysis, Evaluation and Testimony:

Consulting services to attorneys and clients including accounting, tax and general economic analysis.  Expert testimony includes accounting and auditing, business valuation, lost profits damages and complex financial modeling.  Engagement principal to litigation support engagements on behalf of numerous plaintiffs and defendants. Deposition and/or trial testimony has been presented in approximately 50 cases.

Financial Reporting - Accounting and Auditing Professional Standards:

Evaluation of financial reporting and disclosures in conjunction with financial statement audits;  and in securities, lender, merger and acquisition, and failed audit litigation.  Related testimony presented on behalf of CPA firms, registrants, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCOAB).

Business Valuations:

Financial feasibility and valuations of closely held businesses for tax and other purposes, including the use of business valuation concepts and procedures in the quantification of litigation damages.

General Accounting and Auditing:

Practice before the Securities and Exchange Commission, Accounting and Auditing, taxation, consulting and general accounting services in numerous industries, including retail, oil and gas exploration and production, mining, manufacturing, real estate, high tech, gaming, and construction.  Expert witness for the SEC and PCAOB on Accounting, Reporting, Auditing, and Business Valuation issues.
